3D Printing I: The Ion

3D Printing is powerful tool in rapid fabrication and prototyping. Participants will be given an overview of 3D Printing technologies and FDM 3D Printer operation:

• loading/unloading filament
• slicing techniques - infill, resolution, bridging, shells
• how to best prepare/design files for 3D Printing

By the end of this hands-on workshop, participants will have prepared and loaded their own designs for 3D Printing and learned how to operate numerous 3D Printers.

3D CAD knowledge helpful but not necessary.
